Protective equipment dispatched to 152 hospitals to stop spread of Covid-19.
Prime Minister Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza says protective equipment have been dispatched to 152 hospitals for one week to stop spread of Covid-19.

Dr Mirza said this while addressing at media briefing in Islamabad.Â
He urged the paramedical staff and health professionals to rationally use personal protective equipment, which include N-95 masks, glasses, and protective kits.
The Special Assistant urged people to demonstrate seriousness and exercise utmost care under prevailing condition to stop spread of the virus.
Dr. Zafar Mirza informed that overall 4,462 positive cases of Coronavirus have emerged in the country with Islamabad 102, Punjab 2214, Sindh 1128, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 560, Balochistan 212, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 33 and Gilgit Baltistan 213.
He said death rate in Pakistan is 1.46 percent, which includes 85 percent people of over 50 years age.
The Special Assistant further said that 572 patients have recovered so far, 63 patients have died, while 31 are in critical condition.
Earlier, Dr. Zafar Mirza has said Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan has allowed the local production of raw material of cholorquine as part of efforts to cope with coronavirus challenge. Â
In a statement today, he said the DRAP has also permitted clinical trials of plasma therapy for coronavirus treatment.
The Special Assistant said the drug regulatory body has also allowed the clinical trials of locally manufactured ventilators.
More than fifty companies have been allowed to produce sanitizers to contain the spread of the pandemic.
The companies will prepare quality sanitizers as per the directions of the World Health Organization. Â
Pakistan government has confirmed 4489 cases.
Of them 63 patients have died so far. 572 have been recovered.
On the other hand, President Dr Arif Alvif and Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) have decided to hold special prayer to seek Allah’s forgiveness tomorrow (Friday).
The extremely limited gathering will pray at Aiwan-e-Sadr after Jumma prayer.
They decided this during the meeting wherein Dr. Qibla Ayaz led CII delegation in Islamabad today (Thursday).
