PM lauds health professionals role during his Peshawar visit today (Thursday).

Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured to provide protective equipment to the doctors and paramedical staff to fight the coronavirus challenge.

He said this while talking to the medics during his visit to Hayatabad Medical Complex.
The Prime Minister said the entire Pakistani nation stands by the health professionals.

 

Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor nd Chief Minister received Prime Minister Imran Khan on his arrival in Peshawar.

The KP high officials briefed the Prime Minister about the coronavirus situation.
They also apprised him of the steps which the provincial government have taken so far to stem its spread.
The Prime Minister will also visit Hayatabad Medical Complex.
Imran Khan will also a visit a center in Peshawar established under Ehsaas program to provide assistance and ration to the deserving families in the present situation.
Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, Minister of State Shehryar Afridi and Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Sania Nishtar also accompanied him. 
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also accopanied PM Khan.
On the other hand, the number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in the country has soared to 4601.
According to National Command and Operation Center, 2279 cases are in Punjab, 1128 in Sindh, 620 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 219 in Balochistan, 215 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 107 in Islamabad Capital Territory and 33 in Azad Kashmir.
727 people have so far recovered from the virus whilst the death toll stands at 66.
