17 died of Coronavirus during last 24 hours in Pakistan while confirmed coronavirus cases rose to 8418.
According to National Command and Operation Centre, 1970 patients have so far recovered.
17 died of Coronavirus
The Center said death toll from the virus stands at 176 with 17 new deaths reported during the last twenty-four hours.
Meanwhile, provincial updates had it:
Total 3721 cases have so far been detected in Punjab.
2537 cases detected in Sindh, 1235 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 432 in Balochistan.
Total 181 cases reported in Islamabad Capital Territory
Besides, 263 cases reported in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 49 in Azad Kashmir.
Government confirmed 425 new cases reported during the last 24 hours.
Local transmission of coronavirus stands at 64% while from foreign travel it remains 36%.
Pakistan has 590 hospitals with COVID facilities with 2,216 patients admitted across the country.
Meanwhile, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser chaired the meeting of Parliamentary Committee on Corona in Islamabad on Monday.
He said that the Parliament is playing it utmost role to curb the coronavirus in the country.
He said they would review situation every week.
Key officials of government such as Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Babar Awan and Azam Swati, Hamad Azhar, and Fahmida Mirza and Ali Muhammad Khan also attended the meeting.
Leader of the opposition Khawaja Asif, PPP’s Raja Pervez Ashraf and PMLN’s Mushahidullah Khan also attended.
Moreover, Senator Sherry Rehman participated through video link.
Coronavirus-related measures, across the country is being reviewed in the meeting.
