Parliamentary committee on Coronavirus reviews latest situation.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser chaired the meeting of Parliamentary Committee on Corona in Islamabad on Monday.

He said that the Parliament is playing it utmost role to curb the coronavirus in the country.

He said they would review situation every week.

Key officials of government such as Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Babar Awan and Azam Swati, Hamad Azhar, and Fahmida Mirza and Ali Muhammad Khan also attended the meeting. However, they attended as Parliamentarian.

Leader of the opposition Khawaja Asif, PPP’s Raja Pervez Ashraf and PMLN’s Mushahidullah Khan also attended.

Moreover, Senator Sherry Rehman participated through video link.

They are reviewing Coronavirus-related measures, across the country.

Earlier, National Command and Operation Centre said 17 people died of Coronavirus during last 24 hours.

The Center said death toll from the virus stands at 176 with 17 new deaths reported during the last twenty-four hours.

National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) says there is no shortage of testing kits in the country.

Talking to a private news channel, NDMA Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal said this.

He said around 800,000 coronavirus testing kits remain available at the present in the country.

Moreover, 50 laboratories are working across the country while 18 more laboratories would be functional by the end of this month within every division or district.
