PM asks MNAs to play vibrant role for relief to people during Ramazan.

A group of MNAs from Faisalabad that called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Monday.

Prime Minister told them that Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program is providing relief to people on the basis of merit, transparency and impartiality.

Imran Khan directed them to play a vibrant role to provide relief to people during the holy month of Ramazan.

The MNAs apprised the Prime Minister of the problems which local people face in the wake of Covid-19.

However, they said Ehsaas Emergency Cash program is providing encouragement to vulnerable people.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan will participate in Ehsaas Telethon at PTV on Thursday at 4 pm.

Ehsaas Telethon aims at collecting donations to mitigate the adverse impacts of Covid-19.

They would use collected amount for buying protection kits for doctors and paramedics and also for raising cash for deserving persons.

Meanwhile, English Biscuit Manufacturers has announced to give 100 million rupees for Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Fund.

CEO of EBM Dr. Zeelaf Munir made this commitment while talking to Prime Minister Imran Khan through a video link.

She said her company is committed to work with government for providing rations to people.

The CEO said the manufacturer has also donated medical supplies to various hospitals.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan also chaired a meeting to review the prevalent situation of Coronavirus and its prevention in Islamabad.

He said the government is taking all out steps to keep balance between preventing Coronavirus and running of economy.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer Telenor Pakistan Irfan Wahab presented a cheque of worth Rs 50 million to Prime Minister Imran Khan as a donation to PM’s Corona Relief Fund.

He committed Rs. 1.6 billion for relief activities including provision of testing kits and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to medical staff, e-learning, digital skills and food ration.

Wahab informed the Prime Minister that Telenor Pakistan, similar to other telecommunication companies in the country, was facilitating consumers to contribute toward PM’s Corona Relief Fund by sending SMS at 6677.
