24 people died of Covid19 during last 24 hours as 1315 new cases reported.

According to National Command and Control Centre, 1,315 new infections have been reported in country during the past 24 hours.

The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country have soared to 21,501.

With the 24 death during last 24 hours, death toll rose  to 486.

9875 tests conducted during last 24 hours which detected 1315 new cases of Coronavirus.

Of these, 7,882 were reported in Sindh, 8,103 in Punjab, 3,288 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,321 in Balochistan, 464 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 372 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 71 in Azad Kashmir.

Over five thousand seven hundred patients have recovered in the country.

On the other hand, Federal Cabinet was meeting in Islamabad.

Prime Minister Imran Khan was presiding the meeting.

The cabinet discussed various agenda items of national and international importance, besides discussing situation arising out of the Corona outbreak in the country.

Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Shibli Faraz has said the government is doing its best to overcome the coronavirus pandemic across the country.

He said this, while talking to a News Channel.

He further said death rate due to virus is much lower in Pakistan due to timely steps taken by the government.

The minister said smart lockdown option as adopted by the federal government has been acknowledged by the world leaders.

Shibli Faraz said the opposition parties are playing politics over coronavirus and government’s relief activities.
