He said this, while addressing to a ceremony on the occasion of Youm Takbeer through video link, Shehbaz Sharif said that today the PML-N government has given new stability to the country on this day.

He called May 28 an unforgettable day for the entire nation.

Furthermore, he said that on May 28, 1998, we had decided to live with our heads high.

Shahbaz said the decision to carry out nuclear blasts would be remembered in the history of the country.

He said they (then-PMLN government) put their lives under threat to make the country a nuclear power.

Moreover, he slammed the PTI government.

Shahbaz said that politics should not be done these days.

He noted  economy was dying before the outbreak of the corona virus, but the deficit after the outbreak was overwhelming.

PMLN president accused Prime Minister Imran Khan of doing nothing to unite the nation.

He noted it was high time for the PM to lead and unite the nation.

Shahbaz recalled then-PM Nawaz Sharif had turned down a huge economic package at the time of nuclear tests.

He said that locusts have wreaked havoc in Sindh and South Punjab. He underlined the need for working together to fix the economy.

PMLN president said defense and livelihood go hand in hand and both must be strong. He emphasised that nation must unite against the threat of the enemy, besides strong faith and organization.
