Business community assured of proper consideration to budget proposals they had put forward to the federal government.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh made this assurance.

He was chairing a meeting with Chairman Businessmen community Siraj Kassaim Teli and representatives of Karachi Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The meeting held to discuss budget proposals from business community of Karachi, in Islamabad today [Monday].

Sheikh said the government is giving proper consideration to the proposals of business community in the upcoming budget.

The Adviser said the government will continue to cooperate with the business community to boost the businesses.

He eyed cooperation with the business community to generate employment and economic development in the country.

Meanwhile, the group requested the Adviser to look into the possibility of reducing the taxes and speeding up of income tax refunds for the businessmen.

Moreover, they also asked the Adviser to take concrete measures to facilitate the business community for facilitating their business activities.

On the other hand, PM’s Adviser on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday. Federal Minister for Commerce and Production Muhammad Hammad Azhar also accompanied him.

They discussed commercial and financial matters during that meeting.
