Over 145000 Coronavirus patients recovered in Pakistan so far which the government called an improvement in the number of recoveries from COVID-19.

According to National Command and Operation Center, the number of active Covid cases in the country are now 90,554.

NCOC reported recover of 145,311 patients.

3,359 people were tested positive while 24,333 tests were conducted over the last twenty-four hours.

Sixty-one people lost lives due to the coronavirus during the last twenty-four hours.

Out of 1568 ventilators allocated for COVID-19, 435 are occupied across the country.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed for ensuring strict implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all the precautionary measures on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

He directed this, while chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review COVID-19 situation in the country.

Furthermore, he expressed satisfaction over the positive outcome of steps to control coronavirus.

The Prime Minister directed for holding of National Command and Operation Centre meetings in all the provincial capitals to further effectively improve administrative measures in collaboration with the provincial governments to contain coronavirus pandemic.

Officials apprised that due to decreasing number of Coronavirus cases, the burden on hospitals has also reduced to a great extent.

They further informed the meeting of increase in beds with specific treatment facilities for the coronavirus patients to 1,500 and they would further taken it to a total of 2,500 in the next few days.

Meanwhile, they also gave Prime Minister a detailed briefing on recent situation, regional scenario, positive outcome of the smart lockdown strategy, available facilities and beds in hospitals for the COVID infected patients.

They also briefed him on strategy during Eid-ul-Azha and Muharram-ul-Haram to control spread of coronavirus pandemic.
