PM highlights fulfillment of govt promise on stranded Pakistanis repatriation.

In a tweet on Saturday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said the government had brought 250,000 Pakistanis from around the world.

He said despite massive disruptions in global air travel, we have fulfilled our promise of bringing back stranded Pakistanis and our overseas workers.

The Prime Minister said that his government will continue to support overseas Pakistanis in every way possible.

Earlier, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Security Dr Moeed Yousuf called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday.

He informed the PM that they had ensured repatriation of over 225,000 stranded Pakistanis from 70 states.

He said that they were striving to fulfill the prime minister’s commitment of repatriating the Pakistanis stranded in different countries.

Pakistanis stuck following the suspension of flights operation due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and progress.

He said any Pakistani living in any part of the world was its responsibility and the government would strive to fulfill it.

On the other hand, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi underscored international cooperation indispensable to respond to coronavirus pandemic and economic recession.

He said world can promote it well through the United Nations (UN).
