Over 269000 patients recovered from Coronavirus infection in Pakistan so far.

According to the latest statistics, now the country has 13,953 active cases in the country.

The number of patients recovered from Coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 269,087 after the recovery of 2786 patients over the last twenty-four hours.

488 new cases surfaced during the last twenty-four hours with seven deaths reported. 22,448 coronavirus tests were carried out during this period.

On the other hand, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) met in Islamabad (Monday).

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar presided over the meeting.

The officials concerned apprised the NCOC detailed plan of action for management of holy month of Muharram.

Notably, they informed about plan for compliance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to contain the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

The NCOC meeting chaired by discussed daily situation brief, establishment of sentinel sites and SOPs compliance.

Moreover, they also briefed on arrangements and measures to ensure public health and safety during upcoming month of Muharram.

Detailed plan of action incorporates health guidelines and protocols are in place after lengthy consultations with all stake holders.

While speaking on the occasion, Asad Umar said all stake holders need to know how to contain the disease spread.

In this regard, he underlined the importance of enforcement of all necessary measures, while checking violations for compliance through corrective measures and fines.
