No country can progress without trade and investment with other countries, said adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh today.

He said the government is determined to provide conducive environment to investors in the country.

Adviser said, while speaking at Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi on Monday morning.

Abdul Hafeez Sheikh further said that no country could progress without trade and investment with other countries.

He said subsidy is being provided to 90 percent consumers of gas and at utility stores to provide relief to general public.

He asked the business community to find new markets for their products.

The adviser also urged them to utilize new instruments for the promotion of businesses.

Sheikh said the business community should contact him in case the sales tax refund is not paid within 72 hours.

Earlier, the Adviser on Finance opened the PSX trading session.

On the other hand, Federal Govt has allowed overRs112bn release for PSDP projects so far.

So far, the Centre authorized release of Rs112.04 billion for various ongoing and new social sector uplift projects.

The government allocated that funds under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2020-21.

In total, the government had allocated Rs650 billion under this head.
