CM Sindh assures full support for Karachi Circular Railways early completion.

On behalf of Sindh government, he made this assurance during a meeting in Karachi today (Saturday).

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah Chairing the meeting about Karachi Circular Railways.

He said the provincial government will provide full support to Pakistan Railways for early completion and operationalize the Karachi Circular Railways.

Furthermore, he said all the encroachments have been removed from the track of Karachi Circular Railways except five kilometer area.

In March 2020, Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said Karachi Circular Railway would be operationalized in six months.

He said this while responding to a question during Question Hour in the National Assembly.

Prior to that Chief Justice of Pakistan had set this deadline for them.

Chief Justice of Pakistan directs KCR restoration within 6 months.

During  a meeting, the CJP Justice Gulzar Ahmed asked the officials concerned to ensure KCR restoration.

He epmhasised that Sindh government should remove all encroachments in way of the Karachi Circular Railway project.

He made clear this deadline would not extend further.

The meeting on Karachi circular railway held in Supreme Court Karachi registry.

Besides CJP, Attorney General Khalid Jawed Khan and advocate general Salman Talibuddin also attended the meeting.
