Six Major Generals of Pakistan Army elevated to Lieutenant General rank.
Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) confirmed promotion of six Major Generals to the rank of Lieutenant General.

In a tweet today, he released names of those promoted Major Generals.
They included Major General Akhtar Nawaz, Major General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, Major General Asif Ghafoor, Major General Salman Fayyaz Ghani, Major General Sarfraz Ali and Major General Muhammad Ali.
Notably, Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has served as DG ISPR.
The incumbent DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar succeeded him.
Keeping in view support for him at social media, Asif Ghafoor remained the most popular DG ISPR.
