FM assures Hizb e Wahdat delegation of Pakistani efforts for Afghan peace.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi welcomed Chairman of Hizb-e-Wahdat-e-Islami Muhammad Karim Khalili and his delegation.

The Afghan delegation delegation called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The FM reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continue its efforts for peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Furthermore, he expressed satisfaction over the progress in intra Afghan dialogue.

The Foreign Minister said it provides a unique opportunity to the Afghan leadership which must be seized for peace in Afghanistan.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi regretted that India is acting as a spoiler in Afghanistan.

Moreover, he cited Pakistan had presented irrefutable evidence in this regard before the world community.

Meanwhile, he also referred to historic relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The Foreign Minister said we are taking concrete steps for promotion of bilateral relations between the two countries.

He further said Pakistan has also introduced a new visa policy to facilitate the Afghans.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan desires early but dignified return of the Afghan refugees to their homeland.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Karim Khalili commended Pakistan’s facilitation role in the Afghan peace process.

He also thanked Pakistani leadership and people for hosting the Afghan refugees over the last many decades.

Earlier, Afghan Hizb-e-Wahadat-e-Islami Chairman Muhammad Karim Khalili called on speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on Monday.

During the meeting in Islamabad, he also said Pakistan’s steadfast support for an inclusive broad based and political solution to afghan peace process.

He urged the parties to the peace process should seize this opportunity.

Moreover, he asked them to engage constructively for ending decade’s old conflict in Afghanistan.
