FM Qureshi calls for global action for economic assistance in Afghanistan.

In this regard, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has urged the international community to take concrete steps.

Specially, he discussed this during his telephonic conversation with Kenyan counterpart Raychelle Omamo.

He further said if situation further deteriorated in Afghanistan, it would lead to a huge outflow of Afghan refugees besides other consequences.

Therefore, he urged for provision of humanitarian and economic assistance to the Afghan people.

As regards bilateral relations, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan gives special importance to its bilateral relations with Kenya.

Furthermore, he noted Engage Africa policy amongst the priorities of our government.

The Foreign Minister expressed strong desire to further strengthen relations with Kenya in the areas of economy, trade and defense.
