IHC directs authorities to contact the family of Arshad Sharif

Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered Interior Ministry and Ministery of Foreign Affairs to contact the bereaved family of prominent journalist and TV host Arshad Sharif, who was shot dead in Kenya, Nairobi.
The court issued directives as a plea was filed, urging senior court of the Islamabad Capital Territory to form a commission to probe the circumstances under which the Pakistani journalist left his home country.
Court also ordered the relevant authorities to contact the family of the senior journalist.
This is what the Islamabad High Court ordered on Monday while hearing the petition of barrister Shoaib Razzaq pertaining to the journalist’s death.
The petitioner also urged to ensure the transportation of Arshad’s body to Pakistan.

IHC CJ further directed the relevant authorities to take the necessary steps required to ship Sharif’s body to Pakistan.
