Aus vs Pak 3rd Test day 1: Aamer Jamal takes Pakistan to fighting 313 runs

Pakistan recovered from near disaster finishing first inning for 313 runs in third test match against Australia.

Pakistan won the toss, but electing to bat first did not suit Pakistani openers when both went to pavillion for duck in first 2 overs. Babar Azam after hitting back to back three boundaries out for (26) and Shan Masood (35).

Saud Shakeel (5) held his continuous failing performance. Upon Masood departure after lunch Pakistani inning was near to disaster as scoreboard  was 96/5.

Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha pounded a 94-run partnership before Rizwan was dismissed just before tea for 88. The wicket keeper batsmen smashed two sixes and 10 fours off 103 balls. The incomer Sajid Khan lasted for (15) runs.

Mitchell Starc got rid of Agha Salman after the latter had scored 53 runs in 67 balls by hitting 8 fours. All rounder hasan Ali quickly came to crease, faced five balls and back to dressing room for (0) leaving Pakistan 227/9.

Aamer Jamal on number 9 slot hammered Australia as never before from Pakistani side ever did.

Jamal and tailender Mir Hamza added 86 runs for the last wicket to get Pakistan past 300 despite being reduced to 227-9 at one stage. Jamal scored 82 runs in 97 balls, which included nine fours and four sixes.

Aussie captain bagged five wickets, all key wickets including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Sajid Khan, Hasan Ali and Saud Shakeel.
