Australia whitewash Pakistan in Benaud Qadir Trophy

Australia beat Pakistan by eight wickets in third and final Test match to seal a 3-0 series clean sweep in Sydney.

Earlier, Pakistan were reduced for just 115 having started the morning on 67-7, seamer Josh Hazlewood finishing with 4-16 and Nathan Lyon 3-36.

The green shirts added only 48 runs from yesterday, when Mohammad Rizwan left to pavillion on (28) leaving scoreboard 109/8.

In the next over Aamir Jamal pulled the Pat cummins short ball to midwicket and Travis head thanksfully received the catch pushed Pakistan to 109/9, Aamir Jamal scored (18) runs. Nathan lyon finally by bowling out Hasan Ali wrapped the Pakistani inning.

Chasing 130, Australia lost an early wicket of Usman Khawaja but Aussies smoothly sailed through half-centuries from Marnus Labuschagne (62*) and David Warner (57) made Australia register a victory by eight wickets on Day 4 of the third Test against Pakistan.

Marnus Labuschagne added 119 runs for the second wicket with Warner after the home side lost opener Usman Khawaja for a duck in the first over of the run-chase.

Sajid Khan finished 2/49 bagged Khawaja and David warner, warner finished his career with a memorable fifty.

Australian Captain Pat Cummins was awarded player of the series while Pakistani pacer Aamir Jamal bagged Player of the match.

Australia has a winning streak of 17 – test matches against Pakistan at home soil. Pakistan registered last win against Australia on Australian soil in 1995.
