Budget 2025-26; Honda Car Prices after Tax Increase

Honda City 1.5 Aspire LAS CVT installment plan - June 2025
June 14, 2025 – The Government of Pakistan is planning a 2% tax increase on cars with engine capacities between 1300cc and 1800cc as part of the 2025-26 federal budget. This proposal will directly affect the prices of several popular Honda models in the country.
Mid-sized sedans and compact SUVs from Honda fall within this range. So, if this tax is approved, customers should expect noticeable price hikes.

What It Means for Buyers
The Honda Civic Oriel could become costlier by nearly Rs. 173,000, while the Civic RS may go up by around Rs. 198,000. Even City variants will see increased prices of Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 120,000 depending on the model.
The HR-V and BR-V, which are compact SUVs, are also set to become more expensive under the new tax rule.
Why the Government Is Doing This
The government is aiming to boost tax revenue and reduce the demand for imported vehicles. Officials believe that this move will help stabilize the economy and lower the import bill. However, it will also affect middle-class car buyers, especially those looking to buy new Honda cars in the coming months.
