ISLAMABAD: Hyundai Nishat Motors has announced that it will launch the all-new Hyundai Palisade in Pakistan through local CKD assembly. This is a historic move, as Pakistan will become the first country outside South Korea to assemble the current-generation Palisade locally.
Expected Price in Pakistan
The official price has not been announced yet. However, the expected ex-factory price of the new locally assembled model is between PKR 15 million and PKR 18 million.
In the used market, imported Palisade units are currently priced higher, ranging from PKR 16 million to PKR 22 million due to import duties and limited availability.
The company aims to keep the price competitive compared to rivals like the GWM Tank 500, top variants of the Toyota Fortuner, and the Kia Sorento.
Engine and Performance
The 2026 model is expected to come with a 2.5L Turbo Hybrid engine. It produces around 329 horsepower and 460 Nm torque. The SUV will offer All-Wheel Drive (AWD) along with terrain modes like Mud, Sand, and Snow.
Customers can choose between 7-seater and 8-seater options. The 7-seater version will offer premium captain seats in the second row.
Interior and Features
The interior of the Palisade offers a luxury feel. It includes dual 12.3-inch curved displays, Nappa leather seats, a dual sunroof, ambient lighting, and ventilated and heated seats for both front and rear passengers.
For safety, the SUV comes with Hyundai SmartSense features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a 360-degree camera system.
Why It’s Important
The Palisade is expected to attract strong demand because it offers luxury features similar to high-end brands at a lower price compared to imported German SUVs. Its hybrid engine also provides better fuel efficiency, estimated at 12–14 km per liter, which is important as fuel prices continue to rise.
Local CKD assembly will also make spare parts more available and improve after-sales service compared to imported units.
Launch Timeline
Bookings for the Hyundai Palisade will open in March 2026. Display units will arrive at dealerships in June 2026, and customer deliveries are expected to begin in August 2026.
