Bilawal defends president’s speech in parliament

15 May, 2024 15:45

President Asif Ali Zardari, in his speech, in the parliament had talked about moving ahead together.

These views were expressed by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in the house today.

President Zardari did not talk about his cases or interests, the PPP chairman said. Also, the president did not discuss his personal or political issues, Bilawal added.

He said it appears the opposition had forgot its responsibilities. The Opposition Leader in the National Assembly during his one-hour speech only complained about the PTI founder’s issues, Bilawal said. He suggested dialogue is the only solution to all issues.

About the economic challenges, he said that Pakistan was passing through economic crisis.

Speaking about the farmer’s issues the PPP chairman demanded of the government to lift ban on export of wheat. If the government has a surplus wheat stock even then it should procure the crop from the farmers and send the same to Gaza, where people are in dire need of food, Bilawal added.
