Who was Kim Sae-ron? Biography, Age & Wikipedia
South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron, aged 24, was found dead at her residence in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on Sunday, according to police reports.
Her body was discovered by a close friend, who immediately contacted the authorities around 4:50 p.m. The police have launched an investigation into the cause of her death but have reported no signs of forced entry at the scene.
Kim, born in 2000, began her career as a child actor in 2009 and gained significant recognition for her roles in films such as The Man from Nowhere (2010) and The Neighbor (2012).
Her portrayal of So-mi, the young girl in The Man from Nowhere, alongside actor Won Bin, made a lasting impression on audiences. Kim’s most recent project was the 2023 Netflix drama series Bloodhounds.
Her acting career faced a setback following a drunk driving incident in May 2022, which led to a court-imposed fine of 20 million won ($13,850) in April 2023.
Since then, Kim had largely refrained from public appearances and acting.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.
