Dr. Uduaghan hails from the Itsekiri ethnic group and began his early education at Baptist Primary School, Mosogar, from 1961 to 1966.

He later attended Federal Government College, Warri, between 1968 and 1974. Pursuing higher education, he earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Benin in 1980. In 1986, he further specialized by obtaining a Diploma in Anaesthesia from the same university.

Starting his medical journey in 1983, Dr. Uduaghan worked as a medical officer at Delta Steel Company Medical Centre, Aladja. He later served as a consultant anaesthesiologist at several hospitals, including Shell Hospital in Ogunu. In 1994, he ventured into private practice, establishing his own medical facility.

Dr. Uduaghan transitioned into politics and was appointed as Commissioner for Health in 1999 under Governor James Ibori’s administration.

Dr. Uduaghan is married to Roli Nere Uduaghan, the daughter of Brigadier General Sunny E. Tuoyo (Rtd), a former Military Administrator of Ondo State.

The couple has two children, Orode Ryan-Okpu and Toritseju Uduaghan. A devout Christian, Dr. Uduaghan actively participates in faith-based initiatives and community development programs.
