Who is Aaron the Plumber? Biogrpahy, Real Name & Net Worth

12 March, 2025 13:30

Aaron Sloan, widely recognized as Aaron the Plumber, skyrocketed to online notoriety after his contentious appearance on the June 2024 episode of Pop the Balloon Or Find Love, a dating show hosted by Arlette Amuli. His blunt and confrontational interactions with female contestants led to widespread online discourse, with many criticizing his behavior.

The backlash intensified when Aaron was reportedly fired from his plumbing job, following an overwhelming number of complaints to his employer from outraged viewers. Despite the controversy, he leveraged his viral fame to build a social media presence, later securing a spot on The Zeus Network’s dating reality show, Two Ways With Erica Mena, in 2025. His time on the show, however, was short-lived, ending in a heated altercation with Mena herself.

Aaron’s rise to infamy continued into 2025, as he became a frequent subject of memes, online edits, and interviews. His notoriety peaked in March 2025 when he slapped a contestant’s boyfriend during an episode of 20 Women vs. 1 Comedian, further fueling online debates about his temperament.

The Pop the Balloon Controversy

Aaron first entered the public eye on June 12, 2024, when he appeared in the 11th episode of Pop the Balloon Or Find Love, uploaded to Arlette Amuli’s YouTube channel. The episode quickly amassed over 6.2 million views in nine months.

During his introduction, Aaron boldly stated that he was only interested in dating a woman who was not promiscuous, maintained personal hygiene, and was employed. His remarks immediately triggered a reaction, as one woman popped her balloon on the spot, signaling her disinterest. Over the next 15 minutes, nearly every other contestant followed suit.

Rather than accepting rejection gracefully, Aaron fired back at each contestant with sharp and often controversial remarks. While some perceived his words as rude and offensive, others labeled them as brutal honesty. By the end of the episode, only one woman, named Esther, chose to keep her balloon intact and go on a date with him.

The fallout was swift and severe. Just six days after the episode aired, a post from Aaron’s now-deleted Instagram account surfaced on Reddit’s /r/Asmongold, revealing that he had been fired from his plumbing job. In the post, Aaron expressed frustration, writing:

“ALL THIS CLOUT CHASING GOT ME FIRED FROM WORK MAN I REALLY LOVE PLUMBING AND IM GOOD AT IT & THEY GOT THAT TAKEN FROM ME yall are sick they called the company 500xs and are messing up business.”

The controversy only amplified his viral reach, with reaction videos and media coverage adding fuel to the fire. On June 20, 2024, YouTube duo Aba N Preach uploaded a critique titled “Man Roasts The Queens On Dating Show, RUINS HIS OWN LIFE,” which garnered over 1.6 million views. The following day, the website Twenty Two Words reported on his firing.

Content Creation & Social Media Growth

In the wake of his unexpected fame, Aaron pivoted toward content creation. On July 14, 2024, he uploaded his first YouTube video under the channel name AARON THE PLUMBER OFFICIAL. The video, a diss track aimed at rapper Rick Ross, featured him rapping in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costume—a direct reference to a contestant’s insult from Pop the Balloon. Despite its niche appeal, the video attracted over 13,000 views in eight months.

As the year progressed, Aaron maintained a steady online presence, appearing in interviews, engaging in social media debates, and fueling his growing reputation as an internet provocateur.

Reality TV Appearance: Two Ways With Erica Mena

In early 2025, Aaron took his controversial persona to The Zeus Network, joining the cast of Two Ways With Erica Mena, a reality dating competition.

Aaron’s presence on the show was immediately polarizing. He frequently clashed with fellow contestants, including Alec, Austin, Brea, and Seven. His run on the series was short, as he departed after just five episodes following a heated altercation with Mena.

Even before the show aired, Aaron was vocal about his displeasure with production, alleging that he was mistreated. On December 23, 2024, he uploaded a YouTube video titled “Zeus Network Tried To Play Me,” where he detailed his grievances. The video pulled in over 107,000 views within three months.

After the episodes aired, clips of Aaron’s confrontations spread rapidly online. On February 27, 2025, X (formerly Twitter) user @ipodkingcarter shared a viral compilation of Aaron’s most controversial moments, amassing over 1,800 likes in a week.

The 20 Women vs. 1 Comedian Incident

Aaron’s most explosive viral moment occurred in March 2025, when he was featured in two separate episodes of the YouTube dating show 20 Women vs. 1 Comedian.

The first episode, uploaded to the FBC YouTube channel on March 4, 2025, amassed over 300,000 views in just three days. Two days later, on March 6, the Lah Mike YouTube channel uploaded a similar episode featuring Aaron, which reached over 102,000 views within 24 hours.

Later that day, X user @FearedBuck shared a now-viral clip from the show, capturing the exact moment Aaron slapped a contestant’s boyfriend. The altercation erupted after a female participant revealed mid-conversation that she was already in a relationship. As her boyfriend entered the frame to escort her away, Aaron struck him across the face, sparking immediate controversy. The post garnered over 48,000 likes within a single day.

Aaron’s Lasting Online Impact

Despite the constant backlash, Aaron’s infamy has only fueled his online growth. His name has become synonymous with viral dating show moments, generating endless memes, interviews, and online discourse.

One of his most notable media appearances was on October 30, 2024, when he was featured on an episode of the No Jumper podcast, which racked up over 200,000 views in five months.

Additionally, TikTok has played a major role in preserving his relevance. On February 25, 2025, TikToker @dev2icy posted a meme using a clip from Two Ways, garnering over 235,000 views in just 10 days.

Whether Aaron the Plumber will fade into internet obscurity or continue to capitalize on his controversial reputation remains to be seen. However, one thing is certain: his journey from an unknown plumber to a viral sensation has been anything but ordinary.
