Who is Jasbir Singh? YouTuber Arrested in Punjab India

In a serious move against cross-border espionage, Punjab Police on Wednesday arrested Jasbir Singh, a YouTuber from Rupnagar district, for his alleged connections to Pakistan’s intelligence operatives.

Singh, who manages the YouTube channel ‘Jaan Mahal’, is the second Indian influencer accused in this growing spy ring. He is said to have been in regular contact with Jyoti Malhotra, a Haryana-based content creator already arrested on similar charges last month.

DGP Yadav posted on X (formerly Twitter): “After Jyoti Malhotra’s arrest, Jasbir attempted to delete all digital evidence of his communication with foreign handlers.”

Foreign Trips & Suspicious Activity

Investigations revealed that Singh had:

• Attended Pakistan National Day celebrations in Delhi on Danish’s invitation.

• Met with Pakistani Army officials and vloggers during the event.

• Traveled to Pakistan in 2020, 2021, and 2024.

Forensic teams are currently analyzing his mobile phones and digital devices, which reportedly contain several Pakistan-based contacts and communication records.

Jyoti Malhotra, aged 33, from Hisar, runs the YouTube travel channel ‘Travel with JO’. Her arrest helped unravel this broader intelligence network and shed light on Pakistan’s digital infiltration attempts through social media influencers.
