Pasha Kovalev, born on January 19, 1980, in Komsomolsk-on-Amur (former Soviet Union), is a professional dancer who began dancing at just eight years old. He later moved to the United States with dance partner Anya Garnis. Between 2002 and 2006, the duo reached the finals of the US Open.
Kovalev also competed in So You Think You Can Dance Season 3, reaching the semifinals, while Garnis finished in the top 12. The pair later returned to the show as All-Stars and choreographers.
Kovalev is best known for his performances in Strictly Come Dancing, where he won Series 12 and was the runner-up in Series 9, 10, and 16. He’s also been involved in live tours such as Dancing with the Stars, Superstars of Dance, and An Evening with Katya and Pasha.
