Who is Sidy Barhama Ndiaye? Liverpool’s Potential New Signing 2025
Anfield Watch has exclusively revealed that Senegalese youngster Sidy Barhama Ndiaye is currently training with Liverpool. The 15-year-old has already featured in two pre-season matches for the club’s U18 side.
In a friendly against Fleetwood, Ndiaye made his unofficial debut, playing just over 30 minutes and registering an assist. Operating on the left-wing, he made a decisive run to set up Joshua Sonni-Lambie for Liverpool’s third goal, showcasing his pace and direct attacking style.
Days later, during a 4-2 win over the Steven Gerrard Academy, Ndiaye scored a well-taken goal, latching onto a loose ball after a cross from Lenix Conde, combining in a quick one-two, and finishing into the corner of the net.
Born on December 31, 2009, Ndiaye cannot officially join Liverpool until January 2028, when he turns 18, in accordance with FIFA rules. However, the club reportedly has an agreement to sign him on his 18th birthday. Until then, he can train with Liverpool for up to eight weeks a year.
The young winger stood out at the U17 African Cup of Nations for his speed and dribbling, averaging nearly nine dribbles per 90 minutes. Predominantly a right-footed left-winger, he has also played on the right for Senegal. Expected to feature in the U17 World Cup, Ndiaye is already considered one of Africa’s brightest young talents and has drawn comparisons to Sadio Mane.
