Who is Zandar One Kuwabara? Unveiling a Key Villain in Honkai Star Rail

Zandar One Kuwabara is a very important character in the lore of Honkai Star Rail. He lived long before the creation of the Aeon of Erudition and is the founder of the Genius Society. He created Nous, the Mechanical God and the first Aeon of Erudition, and became its first “emanator” — a powerful being connected to the Aeons.

He is famous for proposing the Imaginary Tree (Cosmos Tree) theory, which explains that many different worlds exist in various timelines and are connected like branches and leaves on a tree. Only Aeons and their emanators can travel through these spaces filled with imaginary energy.

Zandar’s Change of Heart and Hatred for Nous

Near the end of his life, Zandar regretted creating Nous. To fix his mistake, Zandar One Kuwabara split his consciousness into nine inorganic vessels before his organic life ended. He used complex mathematics called quatorzain algebra to do this. These vessels are powerful and nearly equal to Aeons themselves.

One of these vessels is Lygus (also known as Lycurgus), who controls Amphoreus, a place built using a powerful artifact from Nous. Amphoreus can create endless new evolutions and might even destroy the Aeon of Erudition.
