Arjun Tendulkar, son of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, has gotten engaged to Saaniya Chandok in a private ceremony. The event was held recently in Mumbai and was attended by close friends, family, and relatives of both families.
Who is Saaniya Chandok?
Saaniya Chandok is a young entrepreneur from Mumbai. She is the owner of Mr Paws, a premium pet salon, spa, and store located in the city. Her work in the pet care business has gained her a strong reputation among Mumbai’s elite.
Saaniya is also the granddaughter of well-known businessman Ravi Ghai. He is the owner of the luxury InterContinental Hotel in Mumbai and the popular ice-cream brand Brooklyn Creamery.
Saaniya completed her schooling at the Cathedral & John Connon School. Later, she went to the London School of Economics (LSE) and graduated with a degree in Business Management in 2020.
Who is Arjun Tendulkar
Arjun Tendulkar is a 25-year-old left-arm fast bowler and all-rounder. He plays for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Arjun started his domestic career with Mumbai in the 2020-21 season. He played junior-level cricket for Mumbai and was also a part of the India U-19 squad.
Due to tough competition in the Mumbai team, Arjun moved to Goa in 2022-23 to get more playing opportunities. Since then, he has played:
17 First-Class matches – 532 runs, 37 wickets
18 List A matches – 102 runs, 25 wickets
24 T20 matches – 119 runs, 27 wickets
In the IPL 2025 mega auction held in Jeddah, Arjun was bought by Mumbai Indians for ₹30 lakh. However, he did not play any match in IPL 2025. He was also dropped from Goa’s squad in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Arjun is now focusing on the upcoming domestic season to get back in form.
