Who is Ashab Irfan? Pakistani Squash Player Wins Johns Creek Open Squash Title
Pakistani squash player Ashab Irfan clinched the Johns Creek Open Squash Tournament in the United States, securing $12,000 prize money after an impressive victory over Malaysian opponent Nathan Kewe.
In the final, Irfan fought back strongly after losing the first game, defeating Kewe 3-1 in 40 minutes. The scoreline stood at 8-11, 11-2, 11-2, 11-6, marking a commanding comeback performance.
Meanwhile, Pakistani juniors also excelled on the international stage. At the 32nd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships 2025 in South Korea, Pakistan claimed a total of seven medals.
The tally included two gold, two silver, and one bronze in the main event, along with two golds in the plate event.
