Tragedy struck in Southampton when 25-year-old Tia Langdon fell from a block of flats in the Redbridge area. She was rushed to hospital with critical injuries but sadly died the following day.

Who is Jaiden Hassan-Agard?

Jaiden Hassan-Agard is an 18-year-old teenager from Stour Close, Southampton. He was at the flat at the time of the incident and has now been charged with manslaughter in connection with Tia Langdon’s death.

Jaiden faces multiple charges, including:

• Manslaughter of Tia Langdon

• Kidnap of a second woman present at the scene

• False imprisonment

• Making threats to kill

• Threatening with an offensive weapon in a private place

On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, Jaiden appeared before Southampton Magistrates’ Court. He was remanded in custody while investigations continue.

What Happened at the Flats?

Police were called to Cuckmere Lane, Redbridge around 2:43 pm on August 28 after reports of a woman falling. Two air ambulances, paramedics, and several police units rushed to the scene.

Tia was airlifted to hospital, but despite doctors’ efforts, she died the next day. Officers later confirmed that both Jaiden and another woman were inside the flat before the fall.

Tributes to Tia Langdon

The community has been left heartbroken by Tia’s death. Dozens of flowers and heartfelt notes have been placed outside the flats.

One tribute read: “Thank you for being the best big sister ever. You were the smartest person I ever knew, and I’ll forever be proud of you.”

Local councillor Lee Whitbread described the incident as “deeply tragic” and urged the community to support one another during this difficult time.

Police Investigation

Hampshire Police confirmed the case remains under investigation. Detectives are working to uncover the full events that led to Tia’s fall. Jaiden Hassan-Agard faces further hearings in the coming weeks.
