Who is Mohit Priyadarshi? Delhi Police Arrest Pilot for Filming Women With Spy Camera

Delhi Police confirmed the arrest of a 31-year-old pilot, Mohit Priyadarshi, for secretly recording objectionable videos of a woman in Kishangarh Village. The accused used a hidden spy camera disguised as a lighter to capture videos without the victim’s consent.

Who is Mohit Priyadarshi?

According to the police report, the incident happened on August 30 at around 10:20 p.m. near Shani Bazar, Kishangarh Village. A woman noticed suspicious behavior from a man holding a lighter-shaped device. She quickly realized he was trying to record her and filed a complaint with the Kishangarh Police Station.

Police registered the case under sections 77/78 BNS and launched an immediate investigation. Considering the sensitivity of the case, a special team was formed under Inspector Ajai Kumar Yadav, supervised by ACP Melvyn Varghese. Officers, including Sub Inspector Divya Yadav and Constable Vikas, worked together to track down the suspect.

During the investigation, CCTV footage of the area was carefully examined. The suspect’s picture was circulated, and local intelligence teams along with informers were activated. With this coordinated effort, the accused was traced and arrested.

Upon interrogation, Mohit Priyadarshi, a resident of Civil Lines in Agra, confessed to the crime. He admitted that he was recording such videos for his personal gratification. The police recovered the spy camera-lighter device from his possession.

Authorities also confirmed that Priyadarshi works as a pilot with a private airline and is unmarried. The case has raised serious concerns about misuse of technology for voyeurism. The police have stated that further investigation is underway.
