Who is Dr. Suman Khulbe? Indian-Origin Canadian Doctor Found Guilty of Sexual Abuse

10 September, 2025 12:15

The Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal (OPSDT) announced its decision against Dr. Suman Khulbe. She is an Indian-origin doctor in Canada who has been found guilty of sexual abuse and unprofessional misconduct. Following the verdict, her medical license was suspended on an interim basis. A penalty hearing is scheduled for November 24, 2025.

Early Life and Career of Dr. Suman Khulbe

Dr. Khulbe was raised in a traditional Indian family that followed Hindu values. She began her family medicine practice in 2001. Later, she purchased a home in Kanata, Ontario, which also became her clinic.

According to her official website, she is board-certified in Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. She specialized in regenerative medicine, peptide therapy, anti-aging treatments, and performance optimization.

Misconduct Allegations and Legal Battle

The case against Dr. Khulbe started when multiple patients came forward with allegations. Some claimed they were drugged during treatment and later abused. The tribunal found that she crossed professional boundaries and treated patients as friends, business partners, and even romantic interests.

One of her patients, identified as Patient A, was her trainer from a CrossFit gym. Their relationship reportedly turned sexual after medical sessions involving vitamin therapy and the use of the anesthetic procaine. Patient A later claimed he was groomed, drugged, and abused.

Court’s Findings

The OPSDT confirmed that Dr. Khulbe admitted to engaging in sexual acts with one patient. These included kissing, masturbation, and inappropriate physical contact. The tribunal called her actions “disgraceful, dishonourable, and unprofessional.”

Her social media shows she has tried to defend herself publicly. However, her admissions in court documents supported parts of the allegations.

Other Claims and Defenses

Dr. Khulbe also alleged that a former employee tried to blackmail and extort her years earlier. She said false complaints were filed against her, accusing her of substance abuse and patient mistreatment. She claimed investigators even raided her home and clinic in 2020, but later she was cleared of those accusations.

What Lies Ahead

Currently, Dr. Khulbe’s medical license is suspended. The penalty hearing in November will decide whether she will face a long-term revocation, which she herself believes could last five years.
