Who is Tori Branum Husband? Age, Wikipedia & Net Worth
A woman who says she tipped off immigration authorities about workers at a Hyundai plant in Georgia has sparked a big controversy. The woman, Tori Branum, is a former U.S. Marine and a supporter of Donald Trump’s MAGA movement. She is also running for Congress in Georgia’s District 12 and has even accepted the online nickname “MAGA Karen.”
Last week, ICE agents carried out the biggest raid in their history at the Hyundai plant, arresting hundreds of South Korean workers. This move angered South Korean officials, who expressed “concern and regret.” A search warrant, however, showed that agents were only supposed to arrest four workers, all of whom are Latino.
Branum, 47, later admitted online that she had reported the plant to ICE. She said she “gotten hate mail from all over the country with people telling me to die or that I should be in fear.” Still, she says she will not back down from her political campaign.
She mocked her critics in another post, writing: “The funniest part is people saying they’re gonna keep me from winning this election in district 12. Well there smart one, I’m in a district with 22 counties that are all republican except for one.”
Branum added that her critics don’t understand Congress or even when the primary election will take place.
According to her campaign page, Branum is not only a veteran but also a small business owner and firearms trainer. After leaving active duty, she married an Air Force serviceman and moved to Warner Robins. While raising her children, she earned a degree in Psychology from American Military University.
She later started Middle Georgia Female Firearms Training, claiming to have trained over 13,000 women nationwide. On her website, she describes herself as “an America first candidate” and says she wants to represent veterans, families, and everyday people.
“I understand what it’s like to be active duty military, an active duty spouse and an active duty mom. I understand what it’s like to be a small business owner and woman. We need more conservative women in Washington!” she wrote.
As of Tuesday, her fundraising page, launched on May 15, has raised just under $3,000.
