Who Is Dylan Efron’s Girlfriend? All About His Longtime Girlfriend Courtney King

Dylan Efron may be partnered with professional dancer Daniella Karagach on Dancing with the Stars season 34, but off the dance floor, he already has a long-term partner — his high school sweetheart, Courtney King.

Efron, the younger brother of actor Zac Efron, has been charming audiences with his dance moves, while maintaining a private relationship with King. Though the couple has not disclosed when they began dating, photos of them together have appeared on Efron’s Instagram as early as October 2016.

In a March 2025 appearance on The Viall Files podcast, Efron hinted at the couple’s future. “She knows the answer” regarding marriage, he said, reassuring hosts Nick Viall and Natalie Joy that they wouldn’t remain just dating forever. “Courtney’s so down to earth. She’s not going to put a deadline on me.”

They Met in High School

Efron revealed on The Viall Files that he and King grew up in the same hometown and met in high school. Although they have not shared when their relationship officially began, Efron has posted photos with her on Instagram since 2016.

She Prefers a Private Life

Unlike Efron, who pursued a career in Hollywood, King prefers to stay out of the spotlight. “It’s cool because she’s actually not on social media and she works a 40-hour-a-week job,” Efron said. “It works out really well, it’s not like I’m hiding her from the world or anything. She understands the job. She doesn’t really like being on camera.”

She Gave Feedback on His The Traitors Journey

Although King avoids cameras, she still follows reality TV closely. Efron credited her with introducing him to The Viall Files podcast, which later helped him connect with fellow contestant Tom Sandoval on The Traitors.

During a February 2025 interview with Cosmopolitan, Efron recalled meeting Sandoval by saying, “You look really familiar.” When Sandoval referred to his Vanderpump Rules fame, Efron mentioned hearing him on Viall’s podcast. Later, he told King about the exchange, and she teased him that it was “not the best” podcast moment to reference.

She Influenced His Love of Reality TV

Efron has long been a fan of Survivor, but King expanded his reality TV viewing. “Survivor was the day one. I watched all the old school Survivors and quite a few of the new seasons as well,” he shared. “So when I showed up to the castle and it was a bunch of the all-time best Survivor players, I was like holy s— … here I am in a castle playing with my childhood heroes.”

He added that his girlfriend’s passion for the genre deepened his interest. “My girlfriend just watches a lot of them, too. So I’ll just be sitting down and all of a sudden I’ve watched a whole episode of Southern Charm,” he said.

They Enjoy Travel and Adventure

Beyond television, Efron and King share a love of travel and outdoor adventure. Speaking on The Viall Files, he described a recent rock climbing trip in Joshua Tree, California, noting, “She’s a trooper. She can keep up.”

His Instagram documents their adventures together — from lake boat rides and muddy explorations to hiking in Hawaii. Still, Efron admitted with humor in his Cosmopolitan interview that camping isn’t an ideal first date. “No one’s at their best when they’re camping. We’re all smelly, we are all gross,” he joked.

Looking Forward to the Future

Efron also opened up about the couple’s next steps. “We’re working on it,” he said when asked about marriage, adding that there was no rush but plenty of excitement.

“I am now in that stage, I am looking at that next chapter. I want kids,” he said. Reflecting on his younger siblings, aged four and five, he added, “I’ve got to see the joy of them growing up and I want that for myself, too.”
