Who is Zoey Deutch’s Fiancé? Everything About Comedian & Actor Jimmy Tatro

The Set It Up actress and the 22 Jump Street actor revealed in September 2025 that they secretly got engaged three months earlier. The couple announced the news with photos from their waterfront proposal, which also showcased Deutch’s square cushion-cut diamond ring.

“Three months engaged to the love of my life,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post on Sept. 28.

Deutch and Tatro confirmed their relationship in 2021 and have since shared glimpses of their life together on social media. Over the years, they have supported each other at events, traveled widely, and celebrated holidays with their families.

Who is Jimmy Tatro?

Like his fiancée, Tatro also works in the entertainment industry. He is an actor, comedian, and YouTube personality who has appeared in several films and television series, including Home Economics, Grown Ups 2, and You’re Cordially Invited.

Early life and education

Tatro grew up in Los Angeles, California. He attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks and later studied at the University of Arizona, where he joined the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.

Career beginnings on YouTube

In 2011, Tatro launched his YouTube channel LifeAccordingToJimmy, where he posts comedy skits. The channel has gained more than 3.3 million subscribers and has featured appearances from celebrities such as Angela Kinsey, David Henrie, Alexander Ludwig, Emily Osment, and Milo Ventimiglia.

Transition into acting

After building an audience through comedy and YouTube, Tatro moved into acting. His breakthrough came in 2013 with a role in the Adam Sandler film Grown Ups 2. He later appeared in 22 Jump Street, Blue Mountain State, American Vandal, and Home Economics.

In recent years, Tatro starred in the 2025 romantic comedy You’re Cordially Invited alongside Reese Witherspoon, Will Ferrell, Leanne Morgan, and Geraldine Viswanathan. He also appeared in Theater Camp with Ben Platt, Molly Gordon, and Noah Galvin. Deutch accompanied him to the film’s premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2023.

Tatro and Deutch made their relationship public in 2021. On Valentine’s Day of that year, Tatro posted photos of them together on Instagram, writing, “Just using today as an excuse to post some top notch untapped Zoey content.”

They have since marked birthdays and milestones on social media. On Nov. 10, 2022, Tatro wished Deutch a happy birthday with a post captioned, “Happy birthday to my favorite person ❤️.”

Although generally private about their relationship, Deutch spoke about it on the U Up? podcast in August 2022, describing Tatro as her “polar opposite.” She added, “I would be so bored if I was dating someone who agreed with me on everything and thought everything in the same way as me — I’d be so bored by that. I mean I am currently with someone who is my actual polar opposite.”

In September 2025, the couple shared Polaroid photos of the proposal, including Tatro’s candlelit beach setup.

The announcement drew congratulations from celebrities such as Busy Philipps, Lili Reinhart, Vanessa Hudgens, Sarah Hyland, Topher Grace, and Patrick Schwarzenegger.

Deutch’s mother, actress Lea Thompson, also celebrated the news with her own Instagram post.
