The Elimination Controversy
Aaron Mercury’s exit just days before the grand finale sparked outrage among fans. Many took to social media to call the eviction “fraudulent,” pointing to his massive popularity compared to other contestants.
Speaking to El Universal, Aaron rejected claims of fraud and explained (translated from Spanish): “In there, what you had in terms of numbers was the same. After the first week, it’s not about followers anymore but about who you are as a person. It doesn’t matter if someone has 100 followers or 1 million; it’s what people decide.”

Upset by his elimination and the loss of the $4,000,000 MXN prize, Aaron’s fans decided to take matters into their own hands.

“We are Team Teresas, and I am raising funds to cover the injustice of a great man who deserves that and more.”
