According to officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Brahma was intercepted at Chennai after he had boarded AI 347 to Singapore and returned. Investigators revealed that he was allegedly recruited by a Nigerian drug network to smuggle the banned substance.

The seized drug, methaqualone, is a recreational narcotic prohibited in India. Sources suggest Brahma may have turned to crime due to financial distress, highlighting the growing struggles of lesser-known actors in the Indian film industry.

Who is Vishal Brahma?

Vishal Brahma hails from Assam and entered Bollywood with supporting roles.
