The timing coincided with a swatting incident at one of the properties, where police responded to false reports of a shooting and a blind woman at the scene. Reports say that d4vd’s family — his parents and siblings — were inside the house during the prank call.

Celeste Rivas Death Investigation

In September 2024, Los Angeles police executed a search warrant at a rental home associated with d4vd as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas. Her body was found in the front trunk of a Yaris, weeks after she was reported missing from her home in Lake Elsinore, California.

Authorities stated that Rivas had likely been deceased for several weeks before being discovered. The Los Angeles Police Department told Complex that d4vd is not currently a suspect in the case.

“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death,” the statement read. “As such, it is premature to determine whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body.”

Following these developments, d4vd canceled the remainder of his tour and delayed the release of his upcoming album. Since then, the artist has remained out of the public eye, and efforts to obtain a comment from his legal team have so far been unsuccessful.
