R&B singer Sammie Lee Bush, Jr., 38, was arrested on October 19, 2025, for alleged family violence, battery, and child cruelty. As reported by All Hip-Hop, the charges are linked to an incident involving his partner, Teanna Reid, and their daughter, Journee Leigh Bush. The I Like It artist allegedly struck Reid in front of their child. Parle Magazine confirmed that the Henry County Police Department is investigating the case.
Sammie has since been released from custody. Reid later addressed the situation on social media, claiming it stemmed from a personal disagreement and that their relationship is going through a rough period. According to Parle Magazine, she also posted photos of her injuries and a video showing Sammie on a staircase, during which he reportedly threw a tablet that fell to the floor.
In response, Sammie criticized The Shade Room on Instagram, saying the outlet should have contacted him or his team before publishing “clickbait.” He wrote, “Y’all brought me back career-wise. But I see y’all pushing the agenda of negativity, and that’s fine. God bless y’all. I pray the apologies are as loud as the lies and offenses.” The artist later shared new posts from the ONE Musicfest on October 26.
