Who Is Motaleb Shikder?
Muhammad Motaleb Shikder is a senior leader of the National Citizen Party (NCP). He is considered a key organiser within the party’s labour wing.
An NCP worker, Saif Nawaz, told local newspaper Prothom Alo that Shikder served as the convener of the Khulna division of NCP’s labour wing, known as Jatiya Sramik Shakti.
He played an important role in organising labour groups and political activities in southern Bangladesh.
Political Tensions After Sharif Usman Hadi’s Killing
The shooting comes shortly after the killing of student leader Sharif Usman Hadi, whose death sparked widespread protests and clashes in several parts of the country.
