Govt hikes petrol price by Rs4.13 per litre

Expected petrol price in Pakistan: Fuel rates drop from March 16
The caretaker government has jacked up the price of petrol by Rs4.13 per litre.
After the fresh hike, the new petrol price is Rs279.75 per litre, says a notification issued by the Finance Division. The price will remain in place till March 15.
According to the Finance Division, the price of high-speed diesel is kept unchanged at Rs287.33 per litre.
In Pakistan, the prices of petroleum products are revised every 15 days in line with the trend of international oil prices and the rupee’s exchange rate to the dollar.
The new hike is the third consecutive increase by the caretaker government.
