Joining a big IMF program: Aurangzeb

We are joining the big program of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), says Muhammad Aurangzeb.
Speaking at the ceremony at the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Federal Finance Minister for Muhammad Aurangzeb said that on April 14 and 15 we would got to the World Bank and IMF meeting and discuss the features of the new program. Detailed negotiations will be held in Pakistan, we know what and why to do and how to focus now, he added.
We will continue microeconomic stabilization with the IMF and are joining the IMF’s major program. In this regard, we will meet with the IMF officials soon in Washington.
Aurangzeb further said that the current account balance is better and the exchange rate is also stable. Inflation rate has decreased and all these achievements are result of the SBA agreement struck during the previous era of Shehbaz Sharif.
The caretaker government did better work to revive the economy and due to better economic policies the economy will be stabilized soon. Caretaker setup worked better under the leadership of Dr. Shamshad, he added.
