Gold prices in Pakistan, August 9, 2024

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a notable increase on Friday, aligning with the rise in international gold rates.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola rose by Rs1,000 to reach Rs256,500.

Similarly, the 10-gram gold price climbed by Rs857 to Rs219,907.

This upward trend in gold prices comes after a day of stability on Thursday, when gold had remained unchanged at Rs255,500 per tola.

The international gold rate also experienced a significant increase on Friday, gaining $37 to reach $2,430 per ounce, with a premium of $20.

In contrast, silver rates remained steady at Rs2,850 per tola, showing no fluctuation from the previous day.

The APGJSA’s rates serve as a benchmark for the local gold and silver market, providing valuable insights into the precious metals’ performance.

The increase in gold prices can be attributed to various factors, including global market trends, currency fluctuations, and investor demand.
