So finally, the Energy Secretary has finally let the cat out of the bag to address the issue.
According to him, it is due to the “pressure from the International Monetary Fund (IMF)”.
He said that there is pressure on the government that circular loans have to pass on the interest that is coming to the people.
The bureaucrat made the revelation during the Standing Committee on Energy. “We can no longer sit comfortably, we have to put all the burden on the user,” he added.
Secretary Power further said that Pakistan has said the same things in the meetings with the IMF that they are telling you, but they did not agree.
