Rupee sees decline against US dollar

The Pakistani rupee experienced a slight depreciation of 0.07 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Monday, closing at Rs277.68. This follows the previous day’s closing rate of Rs277.61.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the open market rates for the dollar stood at Rs277.85 for buying and Rs279.35 for selling.

Other Currencies’ rates:

– Euro: Increased by 25 paisa to Rs301.27
– Japanese Yen: Up by 1 paisa to Rs1.85
– British Pound: Decreased by 46 paisa to Rs361.56
– Emirates Dirham: Rose by 2 paisa to Rs75.60
– Saudi Riyal: Increased by 3 paisa to Rs73.94

Gold prices continue to make history in Pakistan as the precious metal maintained an upward trajectory on Monday.

The price of gold per tola rose by Rs500 as it hit the Rs282,300 mark in Pakistan.

Similarly, 10-gram gold is being traded at Rs242,027 after it witnessed an increase of Rs429, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

In the international market, rate was set at $2,726 per ounce after increasing $5 during the day.

Silver prices gained Rs50 to settle at Rs3,150 per tola.
