The price of 24-karat gold experienced a decline in the local market today, falling by Rs.500 per tola, now standing at Rs.283,200.

This is compared to the previous trading price of Rs.283,700, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.

In contrast to gold, silver prices remained stable. The price of per tola silver remained unchanged at Rs.3,430, while the price of 10 grams of silver was recorded at Rs.2,940.67.

Despite a drop in global gold prices, which fell by $5 per ounce to $2,736, local markets showed stability in silver prices. The local price adjustments in gold mirrored the global trend, but silver remained unaffected by international market movements.

A total of 244,630,758 shares were exchanged, with a total value of Rs.19.3 billion in shares traded.

The stock market’s positive movement came after a previous close of 91,938.00, reflecting a slight but steady increase in investor confidence.
