Gold rates remain stable in local market

Gold prices in the local market remained stable on Wednesday. The rate for 24-karat gold was unchanged at Rs275,200 per tola and Rs235,940 per 10 grams.

Silver prices also held steady, with silver trading at Rs3,400 per tola and Rs2,914.95 per 10 grams.

International gold prices were similarly stable, with gold trading at $2,640 per ounce, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

This price stability follows a slight decline earlier in the week, when the price of gold dropped by Rs1,700 per tola on Monday, reflecting a $17 decrease in the global market.

In other financial news, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) achieved a historic milestone on Wednesday.

The KSE-100 index rose by 735.32 points, closing at an all-time high of 105,294.39 points, surpassing the previous record of 104,559.07 points.
