Gold prices in Pakistan decline following global trends

Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant drop on Thursday, mirroring the trends seen in the international bullion market.

The price of gold on the global market decreased by $26, bringing the value of one ounce to $2,621. As a result, the price of 24-carat gold in local markets fell by Rs2,100 per tola, settling at Rs273,300.

The price for 10 grams of 24-carat gold also declined by Rs2,229, reaching Rs234,311.

In contrast, silver prices saw an increase. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs50, reaching Rs3,350, while the cost for 10 grams of silver increased by Rs42.87, totaling Rs2,872.08.

This decline in gold prices follows a rise on Wednesday, when the price of gold in Pakistan saw an increase of Rs1,000 per tola, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.
